the Chapter continues to partner with the Michigan heart association to advocate for policy that provides a healthy environment for Michigan's citizens including ecig regulations, funding for chronic disease prevention programs, and appropriate quality criteria for the state's certificate of need standards. the Chapter partnered with the Michigan state medical society to advocate for legislation to relieve the burdens of prior authorization for patients and physicians.
the Chapter hosts an annual cardiovascular team symposium. This program provides clinical updates of interest to those who care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Attendees include nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician assistants and cardiologists.
the Chapter's annual conference combines lectures, panel discussions and debates to convey the latest information in the field of Cardiology. Attendees include cardiologists, cardiovascular nurses, physician assistants, and other members of the cardiac care team.
