Michigan Itinerant Shelter Independent Out of Necessity

Michigan Itinerant Shelter System Interdependent Out of Necessity is a mission providing food, shelter and the most basics of survival to the homeless. At their "Jimmy Hill House", they provide a homeless community meal and meeting every Sunday afternoon and evening, with a different church providing the food. They also provide for showers, laundry, and supplies. Their Weather Amnesty Initiative provides temporary, emergency indoor sleeping accommodation to homeless individuals who otherwise would be sleeping outdoors during the coldest winter nights in Ann Arbor.
