Program areas at Michigan Youth Arts Association
Myaa sponsors festivals to present performances & provide educational enrichment through workshops for students selected by member state wide organizations in Michigan. They act as a coordinating body to facilitate communications and cooperation among the various state wide organizations to identify the most talented.
Myaa promotes an annual event to bring numerous fine & performing Arts colleges to a venue where Michigan high school students have the chance to learn aobut the higher education opportunities available to them when they graduate.
Myaa administers programs for the Michigan council for Arts & cultural afairs: 1) Arts & culture trek grants to Michigan k-12 public schools. Public schools can apply for transportation assistance for school field trips to locations that are art or culture related. 2) art equipment & supplies grants to Michigan k-12 public schools. Schools can apply for grants for Arts equipment (including repairs of Arts equipment) or supplies being used within the classroom/school setting.
