Mid-Ozark Casa Program

The Program provides organization structure, leadership and training for community volunteers who serve as court appointed special advocates(casa) for agbused and neglected children in south central missouri.the volunteer becomes a part of the judicial proceedings and works cooperatively with the court appointed guardian and litem who serves as legal representation for the child. The Casa volunteer also works with the social services personnel as an appointed friend of the court. Unlike attorneys and social workers, however, the Casa volunteer works with only one case at a time and speaks exclusively for the best interest of the child.
