Program areas at Midwest Association Student Financial Aid Administrators
Annual conference was held october 22-25, 2023 in indianapolis, Indiana with over 400 participants, including vendors, invited speakers, special guests and regular conference attendees. Participants received training on various Financial Aid topics to help with the administration of Student Aid and remaining compliant with various federal, state and other regulatory requirements, federal and national updates and professional development skills.
Other program service projects
Summer institute and leadership symposium provided education and instruction on various topics related to the administration of Student Financial Aid. The event was held june 5-9, 2023 in elkhart lake, Wisconsin and had over 100 attendees including the faculty.
Professional development provided various virtual webinars throughout the year, including customer service - supporting students holistically; Financial literacy roundtable - exploring best practices; working with native american students; the paying for college transparency initiative; master the art of influence: strategies for building your leadership skills; rountable - title iv compliance a curse or a complement to other parts of your institution; lgbtq & cultural competency training.
