Program areas at Midwest Poultry Consortium
The Midwest Poultry Consortium's Center of Excellence (COE) Program offers strong research-based poultry science education in a welcoming, friendly environment. Faculty and industry members throughout the participating states collaborate to provide students with a unique educational experience. During the year ended October 31, 2023, thirty students were served through the COE program.
The Midwest Poultry Consortium's Regulatory/Legislative Program has been established to secure funding for the Laying Hen & Turkey Research Program (LHTRP) and to keep legislators and agency staff informed of the need for and results of the competitive research program.
The Laying Hen & Turkey Research Program (LHTRP) was created to effectively address research needs of the poultry industry through a competitive process. The goal is to improve efficiency and sustainability of poultry production through integrated, collaborate research and technology transfer.
