Promoting Renewable Energy, Energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration since 1990 with programs and initiatives like grow solar, solar on schools, rise up Midwest, and more. Grow solar is a Midwest partnership helping communities expand access to solar through technical assistance, solar group buy programs, and training for inspectors and installers. Solar on schools provides a range of free resources to Wisconsin k-12 schools interested in pursuing a solar pv system. Rise up Midwest is a multi-state coalition working in the Midwest to advance clean Energy policy action and market development.
Since 1990 mrea has hosted the Energy fair, the nation's longest-running event of its kind. The fair has brought attendees together to learn about clean Energy, connect with others, and take action toward a just Energy transition. The event offers hundreds of workshops and exhibitors, professional cecs, inspiring keynote speakers, live music, family friendly activities, local food & beverage, and more.
Offering industry-leading professional training for solar photovoltaics (pv) for all experience levels since 1990. Online and in-person learning options are available with courses accredited by the interstate Renewable Energy council (irec) and meeting the requirements for credentialing by the north american board of certified Energy practitioners (nabcep).
