Program areas at Mikeys Place
Together at Mikey's Place is a program that started in September 2022. It's mission is to provide a long term solution for young adults confronted with a lack of meaningful opportunities after high school. Participants receive vocational training, dignified work, social interaction and purpose in a supportive environment. This program continues to expand benefiting young adults ages 22+ with developmental disabilities in the local community. A grant was received in 2023 to further support the growth of the program.
Mikey's Guide Publication received a grant to cover costs of web developer to create a new online edition of Mikey's Guide and offer our proprietary disability resource publication for families, caregivers, or anyone who works with all ages/disabilities in the Greater Houston area.
Campership Program provides need-based financial support to families desiring to send their child to a specialized summer camp.
