Program areas at Milestone Centers
Residential services are designed to provide real homes for real people. Individuals needs are met with support, compassion and a sense of family. Both community residential rehab (crr) and community living arrangements (cla) offer 24 hour therapeutic care to stabilize and promote the highest level of independence for the individual. Moderate care provides levels of intermittent support as indicated by the individuals treatment plans and goals. Family living through the life sharing program and host home for children provides an opportunity for inclusion and integration into a single family. Supported and supportive living allows the individual to live in an apartment setting with support as needed. Success is determined in each residential setting by the satisfaction of the individual and his or her family in their living situation and when appropriate by movement to a more independent living setting.
Day & vocational services is a wide umbrella covering a number of Milestone programs. Supports range from individual and group therapy to work skills training, paid-work experiences and assistance in learning daily living skills. Day and vocational services are offered through deaf & hard of hearing services, partial hospitalization program, psychosocial rehabilitation, enterprise work activity center, supported and supportive employment, day services for individuals with developmental disabilities in three locations and specialized senior services to both individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities in two locations. Ultimate success is when a person becomes employed in a community job setting. Additional success includes increased skill attainment that allows and promotes a greater level of independence for that person so that they can successfully live in their community with support.
