Next stage grant program. Provide grants to local Farmers and food makers who sustain a healthy, local food system.
Educational and food access programming to include: Mill City cooks, educational and experiential programming about regenerative farming, healthy eating, and wellness.with our partnerships in the local, organic food community and the Mill City Farmers Market, we are uniquely situated to deliver "can do" education experiences. Our work inspires children and adults to make informed choices and invest in food that helps prevent and reduce chronic conditions like diabetes, cancer and heart disease. Produced chef-led Mill City cooks cooking class video series highlighting locally grown produce and healthy recipes. Weekly articles and social media posts focused on sustainable farming, composting and recycling, & other current health & wellness topics.
Greens for good: promote access to local, organic food in under-resourced communities. Donate more than 16,000 pounds of produce from Market vendors to neighbors in cedar riverside and residences and shelters serving elderly and youth.
