Program areas at Milton Family Community Center
The early childhood education program offers childcare, serving children ages six weeks to five years. The play-based curriculum centers the natural curiosity of each child and encourages development of social skills, literacy and communication, creative expression, physical development, and health.
The Family services program provides comprehensive services to parenting adults in their homes and in the Community. Assistance is provided with parenting information, childhood development questions, finding Community resources, and information about school and work.
The Milton afterschool kids (mask) program provides before and after school licensed childcare, as well as vacation camps, for students in grades k - 6.
Other programs consists of Family support, Community events and food. Family support assists young adults and families with food needs or financial emergencies. Community events include classes and workshops for young adults and families. The Center's full-time childcare programs participate in the child and adult care food program (cacfp) which serves breakfast, lunch and snack. All meals served meet usda nutritional requirements.
