Program areas at Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting
Over the course of the 2022-2023, Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting, Inc., doing business as kinship radio, saw several significant changes. Kinship radio added a new midday show host to its on-air roster. This host also speaks spanish in addition to english and was tasked with refreshing and creating some new content for the spanish language radio outlets. In addition, the organizational structure saw some refreshing to create efficiencies in the area of finance and program direction. The board of directors streamlined and finalized the organizational mission, kinship radio exists to communicate that jesus is lord through worship and the word. The new vision statement is: "through kinship radios platforms, every person will have the opportunity to discover, know and grow in a personal relationship with god through jesus christ. As a radio ministry, this is accomplished through terrestrial Broadcasting and digital dissemination of content through web streaming and mobile app. Feedback from donors, listeners and organizational volunteers in the form of emails, phone calls, letters and donations affirm organizational mission fulfillment. Other areas of growth and impact included: a successful women's event in mankato with over 700 attendees, a marked increase from previous years attendance lag due to covid-19 concerns. Community connections in various kinship radio broadcast areas were made through area "ambassador" volunteer groups led by a part-time employee reallocated to build these relationships. Kinship radio also conducted a fundraiser for six new stations granted by the fcc as acquisition of equipment and construction was begun by the organizations chief engineer. The move from offices and studios in blue earth, mn (from which the ministry has operated since its inception) to mankato, mn was completed.
