Minnesota Certification Board (MCB) offers certifications for professionals in the areas of alcohol and drug counseling, co-ocurring disorders, prevention, clinical supervision, peer recovery and criminal justice. MCB administers the testing for certifications and the bi-annual renewal Certification process. During 2023, Minnesota Certification Board granted 1,496 certifcations, 972 renewals and administered 1,370 tests. Minnesota Certification Board also was the recipient of a mn department of human services grant to launch a peer specialist website.
