Minnesota District Judges Association

Prepared civil and criminal jury instruction guides. These written guides are important resources to courts, Judges, and counsel in instructing juries on the process for arriving at verdicts following trials. They are developed and updated each year based on statutes, court decisions, and other pertinent legal authorities.

Other activities include reviewing proposals and advising members on standards of judicial practice and ethics, reviewing and responding to legislative proposals and actions that relate to the courts and judiciary, reviewing and responding to proposed rules of the Minnesota supreme court, including current issues, rules of the board of judicial standards, judicial canons of ethics, and general rules for District courts. Working with lawyers concerned with lawyers and coordinating services and programs with other groups, including the Minnesota state bar Association, the judicial council, the Minnesota sheriff's Association, and the Minnesota District Judges foundation.
