Minnesota Health Fairs, Inc. Programming was noticeably impacted by covid-19 pandemic. Large-scale events and community gathering were canceled. As a result, Minnesota Health Fairs, Inc. placed some programming on hiatus and developed new programs that could be implemented following cdc pandemic guidelines. Minnesota Health Fairs, Inc. Performed the following services:health fair 11at the fair: 12-day traditional Health fair. 26,221 screenings/health connections. Eleven participating organizations offering services like flu shots, blood typing, vision screenings, food allergy & celiac disease outreach, overdose awareness, medical cannabis education, and more. Health fair 11 flu fighter clinics: 900 flu shots administered during two-days of clinics. The program used a drive-through format. Health fair 11 coordinated 60 volunteers (30/day). Covid vaccination clinics: 6,640 covid vaccinations administered during 21 clinics. The two-phase program used both drive-thru and appoint-based, in-person formats. Health fair 11 filled 134 volunteer positions. Health fair 11 blood drives: three drives held to support the red cross and memorial blood centers. 324 donors registered. 352 units of blood collected. You matter snack packs: 1,250 nutritious snack pack and 200 meals kits distributed to feed 2,650 people. Outreach extended to healthcare workers on the pandemic frontlines and law enforcement officers responding to assist people in crisis. Health fair 11's matter of Health sponsored by ucare: monthly educational medical/health segments airing during kare 11 tv news programs. Topics for 2021 included: covid vaccine myth-busting; heart Health & racial disparities; Health impacts caused by pandemic sleep disruptions; similarities/difference of spring allergies & covid symptoms; why guys avoid the doctor & importance of men's annual physicals; summer skin safety-don't let your guard down; childhood immunizations & back-to-school preparations; adult immunization schedules; flu shots & covid booster vaccinations; prepping children for their covid vaccinations; and safeguarding your mental Health during the holidays. Health fair 11's know your numbers: monthly educational public service announcements airing 1,170 times on kare 11 tv. Psas supported with online content posted at www.kare11.com/healthfair topics for 2021 included: caregiving & depression, sleep for good Health, men's health/physicals, skin cancer & summer sun safety, flu shots, covid vaccinations, and mental Health & holiday stress. Buddy check 11 breast Health education: monthly educational public service announcements airing 233 times on kare 11 tv. Psas supported with monthly email newsletters sent to 915 subscribers.
