Individual anglers and members - organization provides raffle drawing items to participants from sponsors. Organization members individually assume responsibility for mileage costs time and associated expenses.
Membership dues and assessments: a premier membership is required to participate in the angler of the year competition and this premier membership is also required to qualify for the minnyak elite team of our top 5 anglers. These memberships cost $50 per person in 2023 and gave members access to discount codes from League sponsors affiliates and provided anglers with a shirt sticker and other items that members receive in return for their membership payment. Membership fees are germane to our organization's purpose of providing a competitive Kayak Bass Fishing League tournament series each year.
Sponsorship donation: omnia Fishing made a donation to our organization. The donation becomes part of our organizational budget and is used to pay for operating expenses such as website hosting costs paying tournament lake permit fees or other ordinary business expenses for our organization's operation.
"other" was a reimbursement when a board member accidentally used the organization's financial card for a purchase and the $27.21 was a direct reimbursement for his personal purchase.
Tournament fees are member and non-member payments to our organization. We host Kayak Bass Fishing tournaments. Each participant must pay an entry fee as a member and non-members pay an extra fee. The $19,300 is the total sum of revenue that participants paid to participate in our tournaments. This income is offset when tournament prize money is paid to the top finishers. This income is the most important for exemption purposes because it gets paid out to the top finishers and a small amount of this income is withheld in order to fund payments for lake permitting ordinary operating costs and for both the minnyak elite team and angler of the year. Minnyak elite team is the top 5 scoring members for the season. The disbursement of elite team funds are paid to the elite team members 5 in 2023. The other portion of withheld income is then paid out to the angler of the year who is the top finisher by points in our tournament series.
