Special Programs. The Guild sponsors events that include workshops, an annual retreat, and an annual knitting conference, called Yarnover. The purpose for these events is to provide knitting education and fellowship for Guild members. Yarnover includes a fiber market that is open to the public to promote interest in and appreciation for knitting. In 2015 over 1,000 people participated. In 2016 over 1,000 people participated. These events were cancelled for 2020. The purpose of the Guild is to promote interest, appreciation, education, and fellowship in the art of knitting.
