Program areas at MHA
Education - providing education to multi-housing owners, managers and other employees.mha educates more than 5,000 Multi Housing professionals each year. Our programs are nationally recognized as a benchmark for state conferences, certification programs and other learning opportunities. The over 100 educational opportunities we offer every year includes training for owners, managers, maintenance technicians and leasing consultants. A sampling of subjects includes fair Housing, landlord/tenant law, effective leasing, troubleshooting maintenance repairs, diversity training and supervising smart.
Meetings - training and membership events.mha hosts several monthly meetings for owners, managers and employees of Multi Housing to improve their business skills and knowledge. Several hundred people attend these programs each year. These programs are aimed at owners of small to mid-size rental properties and common interest communities. In addition we have multiple programs which offer networking opportunities to our members, help build community and recognize outstanding accomplishments. Over 1500 people attend these programs annually.
Governmental affairs & public relations -successfully lobbied at state and local levels of government; provided resources and promoted the industry, residents and communities.distributing our principles of successful rental property management brochures help property owners to operate effectively and helps to ensure that their business practices add to the economic growth of the community. Our partnerships with cities and crime-free program officers aid in training owners and managers on proper management practices. Our hotline and other resources provide both renters and property managers the knowledge necessary to foster positive business relationships. And, our industry professionals help to prepare high school students for looking for an apartment, signing a lease, and living on their own as responsible contributors to their communities.
