Minnesota/usMinnesotausasa Wrestling is a non-profit, 501(c)3, amateur sport organization, which is supported in part by revenues from membership and events and in part from revenue created through lawful purpose gaming operations within the state of Minnesota. Mn/usa Wrestling is dedicated to freestyle, greco-roman and folkstyle Wrestling at all levels. Our primary mission is to give every wrestler the opportunity to learn, to achieve and go as far as their talents, abilities and determination will allow them. Mn/usa Wrestling is the official state affiliate to usa Wrestling, the group member of the united states olympic committee selected to represent amateur wrestlers. Mn/usa Wrestling is a very active organization working to meet the needs of around 76 clubs, 5000 wrestlers ages 5 through seniors, 1002 coaches, 46 officials, and 1000's of volunteers, all of whom make mn/usa Wrestling the success that it is. The Wrestling clubs are from towns and cities throughout Minnesota, with athletes competing in various age groups: kids, generally 14 years and younger; cadets, generally 15-16 year olds; juniors, generally high school age; university, generally college age; open, generally college age and beyond; and women, including all girls and women. These athletes compete in freestyle, greco-roman and folkstyle Wrestling styles. Mn/usa Wrestling is the only Wrestling program in mn to offer regional training for women/girls. We continue to work with our neighboring states to get as many female workout partners as possible. This gives females the opportunity to better their Wrestling skills. Usa Wrestling offers women's only competition on local, national, and international levels. The sport of Wrestling will encourage athlete's positive attitudes, leadership qualities and self-discipline. It will develop athlete's physical strength, technique, coordination, balance, and agility. It will excite athletes, coaches, parents, families, and fans.
