Program areas at Minute Man Arc for Human Services
Residential Services - ten community group residences provide housing for adults. Adults, who live on their own in the community, receive management Services through the independent living program.
Employment Services - helps individuals with developmental disabilities acquire the vocational, social and personal skills necessary to find employment options in the local community. It works with local businesses to find and create jobs for qualified workers and offers job coaching to workers and employers to ensure successful placements.
Early intervention - an integrated developmental service, offering both evaluation and therapeutic Services to children from birth to three years of age for whom there are developmental concerns due to biological, medical or environmental factors. Ei Services are provided individually in the home, in small integrated groups and in a range of community settings. A variety of parent support, educational and resource referral Services are also provided.
Family supports - provides a broad array of supports and service options in order to support families in dealing with the challenges of raising a child with special needs or, as the child ages, supporting an adult family member with developmental disabilities. The program maintains partnerships with a broad range of community groups, so that it can offer many different Services for children that focus on building skills in order to facilitate productive involvement in the community.
Day habilitation - supports adults who are not able to work due to cognitive and/or physical disabilities or have retired from work.
Independent living - a component of the residential program that teaches and assists adults with developmental disabilities with independent living skills.
Shared living - provides individuals with teh opportunity to become part of a family and community. Shared living providers are trained and carefully selected to meet the needs and wishes of the individuals and their families or guardians.
Adult foster care - provides financial and clinical assistance to qualifying family members or caregivers to assist them in care for their loved ones from home.
Transportation - client transportation to various community work sites.
In april 2018, extra steps pediatric therapies, Inc. an exempt organization, was formed to provide Services to children who age out of the organization's early intervention program. The organization provided this entity with an operating grant and other support Services during fiscal year 2023.
