Mental Health Support & Support GroupsSupport groups are offered in person or online and facilitated by a mental health clinician. Support groups can fill the gap between individual therapy and reach a maximum number of parents in need of immediate mental health support.Miracle Hours provide a unique opportunity for parents to get together, share concerns and feel the support of peers who understand the intricacies and challenges of having a baby in the NICU. Often these parents struggle with feelings of isolation, causing anxiety and depression at the precise time their baby needs them most. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic Miracle Hours were suspended and resumed in December 2022.Mental Health Support - Launched in June 2022, Miracle Babies provides individual therapy to NICU moms and moms with high-risk pregnancies in acute crisis. Maternal Mental Health (MMH) affects 1 in 5 women and 3 in 5 women of color each year. Miracle Babies supports parents during vulnerable times in order to improve their mental health and ultimately enhance their bonding relationship with their developing child. In 2022, over 200 individual mental health therapy sessions were conducted.
