Colibri Center for Human Rights

The Colibri Center for Human Rights works together with the families of disappeared migrants to find truth and justice through forensic science, investigation, and community organizing. Colibri bears witness to this unnecessary loss of life, supporting families in their search and providing opportunities for families to build community, share stories, and raise awareness about the consequences of our current immigration policies. Through the missing migrant project, colibris flagship project, we work with forensic scientists to compare information families provide with unidentified remains recovered along the us-mexico border. We collect detailed missing persons reports from families, and, when possible, dna samples. When a positive match is made, Colibri staff inform families that their loved one has perished
