Program areas at Mission Impact
Mission Impact provided grant funding during 2022 that supported the following causes: the vida & esperanza (school of life and hope) provides holistic education with a strong emphasis on the bible and sharing the gospel through words and actions with the students and their families in santa lucia milpas altas. Proximos pasos (next steps girls school) offers a christ-center ededucational experience to girls who are denied that opportunity by the public schools in santa maria de jesus. The school offers christian education to 250 girls from 1st to 8th grade. Classes include sewing, cooking, english, and bible. Our holistic approach to education is biblically based and covers the areas of academics, physical, emotional and spiritual health, family involvement, and occupational training. Future plans include the production of soy milk at the school to fortify the students' daily nutrition and provide milk for students to take home to their families. A few volunteer short-term missions servant teams from north america have been involved in various ministry projects. Beeline wheelchairs was able to send wheelchairs to different countries as well as to provide wheelchairs to families in guatemala.
