Public policy programs:in order to protect & promote the agriculture industry, Newton County Farm Bureau through its structure of volunteer leaders, supports public policy efforts at the local, state, andnational level. This is accomplished through legislative and regulatory monitoring, communication with members, and public awareness programs. Volunteer members participate in yearly meetings with state legislature to educate them about agricultural policy.
General membership activities:newton County Farm Bureau provides administrative and facility support services for approximate membership of 2,800 members.
Agriculture leadership activities:newton County Farm Bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attended state conferences to network with farmers for educational meetings and issues facing the agriculture industry.
