Public policy programs:in order to protect & promote the agriculture industry the Sharkey County Farm Bureau through its structure of volunteer leaders supports public policy efforts at the local, state, and national level. This is accomplished through legislative and regulatory monitoring, communication with members, and public awareness programs. Volunteer members participate in yearly meetings with state legislature to educate them about agricultural policy.
The Sharkey County Farm Bureau is involved in the promotion of youth and youth activities toward a career in agriculture. This is accomplished by programs in schools and camps.
