Program areas at Mississippi High School Activities Association
Regulate athletic events and playoffs (tennis, soccer, softball, baseball, football, basketball, golf, track, cross country, powerlifting, swimming, volleyball, bowling, archery and cheerleading), including regulation of eligibility of students; participation by approximately 257 High schools and 310 junior High schools
Sponsor and regulate band and marching festivals, solo & ensemble, concert contests, speech and debate for member schools; sponsor and regulate choral contests for member schools as well as speech and debate competition.
Train, test, supervise, regulate athletic officials for events involving member schools; train paraprofessional coaches; provide first aid training for coaches, staff, officials, and any other persons involved in member School Activities
Provide catastrophic insurance for students participating in extracurricular events regulated by the Association in the event of catastrophic injury. Provide training conferences for athletic directors, prar professionals, on-line training of coaches
