Program areas at MDA
The MDA continues to offer the Expanded Functions for Dental Assistants (EFDA) program modules. During 2023, courses in restorative, orthodontic, removable prosthetics, and fixed prosthetics were offered to close to 306 students.
The MERIT program was presented in person at the MDA Executive Office on March 25, 2023, with 31 attendees. Forensic Dentistry: Role, Responsibilities & Interesting Cases was presented by Jim M. Lewis, DMD, D-ABFO. The 2024 program is being planned.
oWe were able to have our summer CE event, Connect4Success Annual Conference in person for 2023, June 22-24 at Margaritaville Lake Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks. The event was for all dentists and included a special track for new dentists and the dental team. This year, we had to close registration early because we hit our max capacity. There were 172 total attendees and 31 exhibit booths and 55 company representatives in attendance.
