Promotion and advertising - the state organization attends farm shows and other functions to promote the organization and sponsors awards to youth in agricultural education organizations to promote the Young Farmer organization.
State Newsletter - published 3 times a year with a digital version also available. Mailed to members and friends of the organization.
State Convention - Leadership development and educational activities for the membership - approximately 200 in attendance.
Executive committee expenses - elected members of the state board to attend local, district, state and national meetings to promote and conduct the work of the organization. Direct cash expenses covered include: travel, meals, lodging and registration.
Payment to Affiliates - 1. National dues are paid to our national affiliate - NYFEA (National Young Farmer Educational Association) - $634.00 and 2. The state organization allocates funds to each of the districts to use in conducting the district's program of activities - $600.00
Insurance - purchase of general liability insurance policy in order to host our state convention, summer tour and to exhibit at various farm tours.
