Mitchell County Animal Rescue protects, rescues and cares for abandoned and unwanted animals, promotes spay/neuter to reduce the population of stray animals, places animals in loving homes and educates young people on humane treatment of animals. They provide shelter and care to neglected, abused, and unwanted pets in Mitchell County. Additionally, they strive to reconnect stray pets with their owners by vaccinating against rabies, distemper/parvo and kennel cough. Veterinary care is also provided to those in need.

Mcar provides shelter and care to unwanted, neglected, and abused pets in Mitchell County. We strive to reconnect stray pets with their owners, vaccinating the unvaccinated against rabies, distemper/parvo and kennel cough. We provide veterinary care to those in our shelter who need it, and spay or neuter each applicable pet before adoption.
