Program areas at Mivos Quartet Performing Arts
Funded a season of performances of contemporary classical music in New York City, across the USA, and abroad in a series of several successful tours. Approximately 71 public concerts in all with a total of over 20,000 in attendance, with many performances offered free admission.
Selected and performed the annual Mivos/Kanter Prize concert winner, featuring a promising American composer in performance of their work in New York City, along with a modest honorarium.
Participated in 9 educational residencies at universities and festivals with a major music student component. Worked with over 60 young composition students in master classes, rehearsals, premieres and recordings of new works. Also gave instrumental lessons, chamber music coachings and lecture/demos on new music.
