Program areas at Modbus Organization
Primary focus providing multimedia communication platforms which support our mission. These platforms include the modbus.org website, maintenance of an electronic forum on the technology, and interaction primarily through email responding to questions on the specifications. The device directory includes a total of 1,391 devices and 690 suppliers. The Modbus specification tool kit continues to be maintained and distributed.
Modbus continued to maintain and further develop its website, modbus.org. On this site users can freely download the specifications and implementation guides for Modbus over serial line, Modbus tcp/ip, and Modbus security. The website also features a searchable database of Modbus suppliers and Modbus devices where users can search for a device appropriate for their applications. The website continues to feature an active, educational discussion forum for Modbus users and developers.
The Organization continued to provide Modbus conformance testing in the united states. Tested devices are announced on the website and listed in the Modbus device directory at the discretion of the supplier that had the devices tested.
