Heritage and culture preservation--hand-in-hand with the preservation of the historical buildings and sites, is the heritage and cultural preservation of Morland and the surrounding Community. As with the rest of western Kansas, intertwined are the various indian cultures (paleo to present) and the adventured/expansionist of the west (mountain man to settlors). Support by mcf through education is primary and on-going. Education to the general public is in the form of archaelogical and paleontology digs, historical seminars, and educational lectures.
Preservation and promotion of historical buildings and sites.the city of Morland originally named fremont for john c fremont (the pathfinder) was incorporated in 1878.
