Additionally, it granted $165,298 to 27 nonprofit organizations supporting Yancey County residents.

Mountain Air Community Fund (MACF) is a grant-based fund that raises money each year to help the people of Yancey County. Thanks to our communitys generous giving, MACF has provided invaluable assistance to numerous less fortunate neighbors in Yancey County. Through grants exceeding $1,200,000 weve supported more than 40 local charitable organizations since 2016. MACF has selected four important pillars as our focus for 2024 and beyond, in hopes of growing grant funds to make an even more lasting impact on our neighbors in need. The four pillars include: Food Insecurity, Education and the Arts, Child and Family Welfare and Medical and Healthcare.
