Mountain Area Pregnancy Services

In 2022, with help from volunteers (1430 hours of donated service) maps conducted 708 client visits to 323 individual clients. We conducted 254 Pregnancy tests, and 251 ultrasounds. In may of 2022 we opened our new waynesville, nc satellite office, thereby contributing to increased clients and client visits. 24% of all clients served fell between the ages 30-34 and 53% of all clients served fell between the ages of 20-29. Our medical director and clinic director oversaw all Pregnancy tests and ultrasounds performed at both the asheville and waynesville office. In june 2022 maps was severely vandalized with graffiti and broken glass, and it took months for the cleanup to occur. Due to the vandalism, maps installed a brand new state-of-the-art security system for protection and found it necessary to pay for police protection for 1 month, post-attack. In august 2022 maps purchased a new ultrasound machine for the new waynesville office. Our parenting program grew in number of clients served and we added new bible study groups to the program. Our fundraising program grew in 2022, with the addition of 615 first-time donors to the ministry. Maps was blessed with 2 state grants that allowed us to pay for extensive advertising and to purchase multiple baby and new mom incentive items for our parenting program. In 2022 Mountain Area Pregnancy Services continued to make an impact serving women and men in crisis throughout wnc.
