Move San Diego

Community, civic, business and other non-profit organization. We analyzed and commented on local, regional, state, and federal policies that affect transportation choices, and the development of sustainable urban communities in the san diego region. We communicated with members of the sandag board facts and our perspectives on how the region's comprehensive plan and transportation plan could be improved. We called for local leaders to support projects that embody smart growth and policies that incentive and support transportation choices and walkable communities. The region's fist transit oriented development strategy development is happening as a result of our advocacy. This strategy will deliver low cost housing neat transit stations, accompanied by reduce parking requirements, and improved multi-model infrastructure that will decrease carbon emissions, provide cleaner air and reduce per capita vehicle miles traveled.
