Program areas at Moving Waters
Moving Waters (mw) provides cleansing and hygiene-enhancing showers for street, unhoused, and displaced populations in greater houston and harris county. These people might not otherwise have access to such facilities. In the current year of operations, mw provided over 4,500 showers to almost 2,000 individuals, a vast increase over prior year's outreach achivement of 2,000 showers to 300 individuals. Shower guests received in total over 4,000 underwear and hygiene kits. Mw provides 150 showers each week, with regular weekly showers at 4 locations across the greater houston area, with a new partner site in february 2023 at emergency aid coalition. See sch.
