Program areas at Mower County Seniors
Chore program schedules housekeeping services, snow removal and lawn mowing services for people over 60 years of age through independent contractors. The chore program served 60 people and provided 2000 hours in service.volunteer transportation provided 3000 rides for nearly 100 Seniors for medical appointments and light errands through the semaaa program and self-pay.senior advocates provide information and assistance to people over 60. Services include, but are not limited to assisting with money management, housing issues, medicare and insurance billing, drug plan applications and information, homeowners and rental refund forms and facilitating caregivers support group. Nearly 700 Seniors were assisted.membership is nearly 800 people at the senior center. Programming includes activities for socialization, exercise and education. We served 24,000 affordable lunches monday through friday.
