Program areas at Multi-County Community Service Agency
Community Services provides food, clothing, emergency medical transportation and financial assistance. Approximateley 40,000 units of case management services provided annually.
Emergency Food and Shelter provides cash assistance, emergency shelter, heating and cooling.
Energy Assistance and Conservation provides energy assistance in the areas of heating and cooling to approximately 15,000 elderly, handicapped and low- income individual. Also, provides weatherization services to elderly and handicapped individuals.
Aging Programs provides hot lunches to approximately 300 elderly home bound senior citizens and provides stipend payments to approximately 175 senior citizens annually. Housing Program provides housing assistance to approximatley 420 low income families.
The Family Preservation and Child Develpment program allow participants to serve as mentors, tutors, and care givers for children and youth with special or exceptional needs. The participants serve in community oragnizations such as schools, head start programs and youth centers.
The Housing program provide homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless-many due to economic crisis and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are homeless.
Employment and Training Program prepares individuals for employement.
