Program areas at museSalon Collaborative

museSalon was granted a yearlong residency contract with Art on the Atlanta BeltLine which funded a virtual talk series and free music festival in Atlanta's city parks. We also received funding from Moore Impact/Warner Music Group Social Justice Fund, Live Nation and C3 Presents to jumpstart operational staff for our project Diversify the Stage, a DEI workforce development pipeline program for the music industry. We hired a Program Manager, Project Manager, and Marketing Assistant with these funds as independent contractors. Finally, we received additional grants from KORG USA and the Country Music Association Foundation to launch the Diversify the Stage Apprenticeship Program 2022 which welcomed 25 apprentices across the USA. The cohort participated in an 8-month program comprised of Masterclasses, Mentorship, and Job Placement opportunities. After 2022, South Arts contracted us to provide curriculum and design services for the Southern Cultural Treasures, a cohort of 17 BIPOC-led and serving arts organizations. This cohort was formed by a 3 year racial justice initiative launched nationally by the Ford Foundation. museSalon was contracted to support the Southern Cultural Treasures through a regional initiative by the Ford Foundation. Seventeen organizations are a part of this initiative as an answer to national EDI efforts in the arts sector. We designed a curriculum for capacity building for these organizations in this 3 year contract 2022-2025 and anticipate further developments and involvement in these national efforts.
