Dunbar Studio: The Dunbar Multimedia & Technology Center is a joint partnership between Music Education Group, and the City of Atlanta's Department of Parks and Recreation. It is a full service, HD Multimedia and Technology Center which serves as a training facility focused on careers in audio technology and production. (45) Dunbar Screen Print Program: "MEG Prints" is based on the same ideals of our audio technology program, with a goal of providing young people with hand-on training in the areas of graphic design and multiple forms of screen printing to include, Spot Color Screen Printing the most common screen-printing techniques. Our services were provided in an after school environment. (20 students)
Community Initiative Outreach Program - Support for community during the holidays.
More to Music Initiative: A unique music after school program exposing teens to the business of music and related careers. The program takes music education to the next level by giving student participants an innovative and unique opportunity to gain first hand experience inside the music, film and digital media industries. Our services were provided in an after school environment at the following locations. Adams Park (30), William Walker Park (5), Grove Park (10), Central Park (30) and ML King Recreation Centers (10)
City of Fairburn: More to Music Initiative: A unique music after school program exposing teens to the business of music and related careers. Student Engineering: Hardware and software specific, workforce development training and hands-on instruction in careers in audio engineering and sound recording. All were hired by MEG in 2023 to provide summer program support. (7 students)
Save the Music Foundation: MEG has partnered with the Save the Music Foundation, one of the leading music foundations in the United States. Celebrating 25 years of service, Save the Music Foundation's mission is to help students, schools and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. Our partnership currently operates "J. Dilla" branded studios in five high schools and three middle schools in metro Atlanta. Together these programs allow us access to more than 54,000 students and 3,800 faculty and staff. (300 students)
Promise Center: "More to Music Initiative". Students will received 40 hours of instruction/studio time. All students participated in the first five "Mandatory Sessions". These sessions helped our team identify the student's specific interest and talents while they learn valuable insights into the business side of the music industry. The last five "Elective Sessions" were dedicated to strengthening student's interest in 5 elective categories: Artists Development and Performance, Music Production 101, The Elements of Songwriting, Music Business Academy and The World of On-Air Media.
