Program areas at Musically Fed
In 2022, live events slowly made a comeback as a result of pretesting for Covid-19 prior to entering live event venues. Musically Fed returned to its main mission of repurposing backstage concert catering to the food insecure. To date Musically Fed has provided 438,000 meals nationally and reduced food waste in the process. During 2022 Musically Fed repurposed approx 78,700 meals from backstage and VIP catering at concerts, festivals and sports events-nationwide. The meals were distributed to community organizations and veterans houses serving the food insecure and those in need.
During 2022 Musically Fed provided nutritious snacks to students of The Phoenix Conservatory of Music for their after school program and delivered repurposed catering meals for student musical events.
Musically Fed, with the lessening of Covid-19 restrictions, restarted delivery of fresh food items and meals to veterans organizations. Several veterans groups returned to scheduling weekly member luncheons, ceremonies and meetings at pre-Covid-19 levels. With the rescued catering from backstage live events Musically Fed provided high quality meals to veterans across America.
