Religious dues religious due in the islamic tradition is called zakat, which muslims give every year; sadaqah jariyah, a form of continued giving; zakat-ul-fitr, annual giving; fidya/kaffara, given when fasting is missed; and aqiqah, qurbani is not just a religious obligation for adult Muslim it's an opportunity to bring joy to hundreds of thousands of families around the world to provide comfort and nourishment to families who may not be able to afford lamb, goat, beef, or new clothes. Mausa has distributed food and non-food items to the neediest individuals in afghanistan, yemen, senegal ,ethiopia, uganda, turkey, palestine , and bosnia.
Food security & food Aid there are millions of people between yemen, afghanistan, somalia, senegal & ethiopia are suffering extreme hunger. Mausa is working with local partners to deliver emergency food packages to those in need. Through food Aid, ramadan food packages and qurbani. Food security Muslim Aid USA provided food and other essential items to internally displaced persons "idp's" refugees, and other poverty-stricken families we also implemented seasonal projects including feed the fasting, qurbani, winterization kits mausa delivered food parcels to approximately 32,000 in the holy month of ramadan and charitable giving for this month, observed by muslims. Feeding the most vulnerable families in yemen, lebanon, senegal , pakistan , palestine , somalia , uganda , bosnia , and uyghur refugees in turkey .
Emergency in 2023 Muslim Aid USA responded to various emergencies, natural and man- made in pakistan, yemen bangladesh, palestine, afghanistan and ethiopia. Mausa responded for drought affected rural communities in somali regional state in ethiopia. In bangladesh mausa distributed 5,632 food packages and 900 blankets to both the rohingya regugees and the host community in cox's bazar. And in afghanistan mausa provided weatherproof tents for 150 families (1,050 individuals) and winterization kits for 610 households in kabul, baghlan, and kunduz,addressing the immediate needs of vulnerable households during the winter season. In myanmar mausa supported a project aiding 338 boys and girls through vocational training,providing skills to Aid their reintegration into society. The project also offers psychosocial and rehabilitative support to address mental and physical trauma and assists children who complete the training in finding job opportunities. In pakistan mausa built one-room flood-resistant shelters and latrines for 50 families and provided food packages to 1,450 families in mirpurkhas, sindh. In turkey mausa funded the repair of 11 schools, allowing children to continue their education and enabling educators and staff to return to work. In palestine mausa enhanced winter preparedness by providing 1,700 padded carpets for un shelters and distributing 5,348 blankets. Additionally,mausa supplied food parcels, hygiene kits, and cleaning services for six unrwa schools sheltering displaced gazans. In the west bank, mausa supported jenin government hospital with medicines and medical supplies for emergency services for up to 8,000 patients. The palestinian red crescent society was provided with equipment and supplies for ambulances to support 300 patients per month. Mausa also distributed hygiene and dignity kits to 100 families(500 individuals) and provided mental health and psychosocial support to 500 children. Together with the red cross geneva and the palestinian red crescent society, mausa equipped the health post in howrah, west bank, with vital medical supplies to treat conflict victims until they can be transferred to higher-level medical facilities. Funded a project to improv food security and livelihoods of people affected by floods in killa saifullah, baluchistan . The project helped farmers to vaccinate their livestock , farmers goats , hens , roosters chicken feed , water and tool kits were distributed to farmers in yemen mausa supported several projects to increase the economic capacity of farmers and lower the price of processed food by creating locally produced goods by supplying and installing over 90 greenhouses to poor families.
Education in ethiopia mausa supported the expansion of primary school capacity in gedebano-gutazer-welene by constructing new classrooms to increase the capacity of the school , and to decrease the congested classes in order to improve the quality of education health care in bangladesh mausa supported a mother, child health and nutrition "mchn" the project promotes breastfeeding as the best source of nourishment for infants and young children, and provide refugees necessary consultation, treatment, medicine and addressing urgent health care needs. In gaza we funded a project to improv the capacity of health care by provide al amal hospital with diagnostic and treatment equipment includes radiography equipment and devices to reducing the need to refer cases for treatment abroad (referrals) in ethiopia, mausa constructed a maternal and child health care unit which is expected to reduce mortality rate and to help pregnant women to diagnose and treat diseases or complications during pregnancy. Full antenatal care follow-up gift in kind Muslim Aid USA works with healthcare foundation to provide medical supplies ranging from, disposables gloves, bandages, prescription medications, and medical equipment and medical beds were distributed to over 7.5 million dollars to ethiopia, chad, yemen azerbaijan and sudan helping over 2.5 million people orphan support on going orphan sponsorship is a vital lifeline for many vulnerable young children. All over the world, there are children who do not have the loving support of a family. Children whose only shelter is a piece of plastic sheeting or a cardboard box, living day to day with the risk of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Mausa supports 1,755 orphans across multiple countries, providing essential resources such as food, education, healthcare, and emotional support, ensuring opportunities for these children to thrive. Wash mausa has various projects to provide access to safe water for drinking and other purposes; deep water wells with solar and/or hand pumps, the project also secures laboratory testing of water from the drilled well, to ensure that the water is safe for drinking. In yemen mausa supported the access to clean water for most vulnerable people in five villages of khanfar district, abyan governorate by constructing 5 water wells.
