Program areas at Muslim American Society of Greater La
The convention program brings together over 30 local, national and international,speakers and experts to address the Muslim American community in southern California on topics related to the year's theme, as well as relevant issues currently facing the community. The 3-day convention typically starts early on thursday, thanksgiving day,and runs to late evening on saturday, and is jam-packed offering: 1. A holistic family friendly environment starting with early pre-dawn prayers and 5 congregational prayers with expert qaris and spiritual reminders 2. Morning quran recitation practice 3. Interactive sessions and session tracks that continue as a series on one topic for all 3 days 4. Access to many expert scholars and knowledgeable teachers for questions and one-on-one interactions 5. Muslim professionals lunch 6. Sisters fashion and entertainment shows 7. Middle school and high school youth programs with activities, sports, and special sessions with scholars 8. Kidz klub program for younger kids with fun activities and field trips
