PANTRY My Friends House seeks to alleviate the pain of hunger by opening its doors each week to seniors, the unemployed and underemployed, the working poor and others on limited incomes. PARISH NURSE - A nurse is provided once a month who screens individual for what are known as lifestyle diseases hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity. Lifestyle diseases are those that can be address through access to quality food. CREATIVE CHEFS- is a program that uses local chefs to promote healthy community. Chefs introduce program participants to receips that use fresh food and healthy alternatives.
