Program areas at MVES

Community choices is a medicaid funded program designed to provide home care support for elders who are eligible for mass health coverage and at risk of placement in a long-term facility. The program provided Services to 7,139 publicly sponsored clients in fy2023.
The enhanced community options program provides case management and community-based Services to elders financially eligible for home care, financially ineligible for medicaid, and in immediate risk of nursing home placement. The program provided Services to 7,822 publicly sponsored clients in fy2023.
State funded home care provides community-based Services to low income, frail elders through third-party contracts, including case management. The program provided home care and case management Services to 31,616 publicly sponsored clients in fy2023.
Other programs provide clinical assessment of elders, supportive senior housing, money management, geriatric mental health Services, health insurance information, meals and nutrition Services, caregiver support, Elder transportation, and long term care options counseling.
