Nakani Native Program promotes traditional medicinal practices and participates in transforming the healthcare system to provide social and political support to Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest, with a mission to achieve a just society on a thriving Mother Earth. The program conducts public/community workshops throughout the year, educating and inspiring people in identifying, locating, harvesting, processing and using traditional Native foods and medicines into Native families and communities.

Staff development, we were able to provide opportunities for staff to enroll in continuing education in grant writing. Our staff also got to participate in health, wellness and culturally relevant activities
Fundraising event, Gifts from the Heart, for the Maui Wildfires. We had a cultural exchange with Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, and Marshallese groups, we set up craft tables where staff, volunteers, and community created traditional gifts for the people of Lahaina, we also purchased and gifted Naa Kaani apparel such as hooded sweatshirts and tshirts. We catered with Natonks Metsu, an Indigenous Caterer, to provide the food for the event.
