Nalinikids

In 2022, NaliniKIDS continued to offer two free online programs to educators and students across the country, WORD Workouts and Subject of Self. In order to increase access to English language learners, the entire WORD Workouts lesson library of 172 lessons was translated into Spanish, spanning the PK-12 grade levels. Various professional development training sessions were held for schools and afterschool programs, helping administrators roll out a custom fit implementation model for their learning environments. The inaugural Educator Advisory Board, composed of diverse educators from across the country, completed a full year commitment including two virtual group workshops, and monthly 1:1 insights interviews with the NaliniKIDS team. In fall 2022, NaliniKIDS put out a call for applications for a new 2023 board, and accepted a new slate of 10 educators to serve in 2023. These connections allow the NaliniKIDS team to stay current with on-the-ground insights and perspectives from educators in rural, suburban, urban, K-12, administrative and classroom roles across the country. Additionally, NaliniKIDS was selected to present at SHAPE America conference in New Orleans, LA in March 2022, in which the WORD Workouts philosophy and resource was shared with leaders at the biggest professional conference for health and physical education teachers. In late 2022, NaliniKIDS founder Rupa Mehta was selected to present at SXSW EDU 2023 in Austin, TX. Recognized as a thought leader in wellness education, Rupa will speak about the NaliniKIDS philosophy that social emotional learning must also be physical.
