Mission: Nami Broward County is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy. Nami Broward County reached over 6,403 people in 2023. -7 guest speakers presented mental health topics to the community -9 presentations by peers - in our own voice -staff presented, organized, participated in 34 community outreach presentations and events -presented 7 ending the silence sessions to Broward County students and faculties -conducted 2 mental health first aid and 2 guardian advocate trainings -provided 512 hours of support with family-to-family program, and 512 hours of support through peer-to-peer classes -provided 54 sessions of family support groups 372 sessions of connection recovery support groups and fifty-two sessions of online - in the room support, plus 15 sessions of h.o.p.e. Group -Nami Broward mentors offered mentoring service to eighty-seven individuals. -Nami Broward staff responded to over 693 inquiries and referred callers to services
