Support and advocacy serving families and friends of people with mental illness, helping to improve quality of life for persons affected by mental illness, providing inter-related activities for outreach, education and training, information and referral, advocacy and governmental relations. Goal is to improve research, services and education to professionals, providers, consumers and the general public.
Annual conference and other educational endeavors with a goal of teaching advocacy skills, improving knowledge of legislation, getting more members trained to be trainers of our free Nami classes/programs. Namis audience is primarily their affiliates.
