Program areas at National Association for College Admission Counseling
National College fairs: National College fairs are held in cities across north america bringing students in direct contact with Admission professionals from participating post-secondary institutions. Nacac works with local counselors and Admission professionals at each event to ensure attendance by students from all social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. This student population has been expanded from high school students only to also include College transfers, veterans, and others from non-traditional educational backgrounds.
Publications: the publications program uses print, digital, web, video and social media to inform members about the changing landscape of the College admissions Counseling profession. The program also includes the career center which offers a centralized resource for College Admission Counseling professionals looking to advance in their career and explore professional opportunites. In 2023, the program name changed to communicatons.
National conference: the National conference provides a forum for Counseling and Admission professionals to network, receive professional training, and exchange information to enhance their own professional development and advance the Counseling and Admission professions.
